Our Caddie Program
Our program is the best in the Northeast. In addition, many of our golf caddies go on to earn scholarships from the Ouimet Scholarship Foundation.
The Ouimet Scholarship Program
The friends of Francis Ouimet and the Massachusetts Golf Association created the Francis Ouimet Caddie Scholarship in 1949 to help deserving young men and women, who worked at golf courses in Massachusetts, obtain a college education. These are need-based college scholarships, which are renewable and worth an average of $30,000 over the course of four (4) years, with some students receiving as much as $80,000.
Sacconnesset Golf Club is proud of its heritage among clubs in Massachusetts developing many Ouimet Scholarship recipients. Several caddies per year from our long-standing caddie program have gone on to earn this scholarship and reap the benefits as they grow their careers, not just on the links, but in a broad range of industries.
